This is the perfect place to begin your quilting journey. Each session, we will be working on different blocks so you will learn a variety of quilting techniques.
We will cover navigating a pattern, cutting, piecing, and how to put a quilt together.
We will also take you through the quilting tools that we use so you have a good understanding what they are used for and how to use them to get the best results.
At the completion of the class you will have a completed quilt top similar to that pictured in a combination of your chosen fabrics.*
Fabrics, tools and threads to complete the quilt are not included in the class fee. Once you are booked in we will make a appointment with you so that we can meet prior to the class so that we can help you with fabric choices and all other materials that you will need to participate in this class.
Participants in this class will receive a 10% discount on tools purchased to use in this class, including; rotary cutter, cutting blades, cutting mats, scissors, fabric markers, pins & thread.

Bring your sewing machine or you can hire a Bernina machine from us at an additional cost of $50 per class. If you choose to purchase a machine from Cutting Cloth during the period of this class this hire fee will be deducted from the cost of your machine.
Morning & afternoon tea is supplied.
Small class size, maximum of 6 students per class.

* There will be some homework that the participant will be required to complete. The amount of homework will be dependant on the amount of work the student is able to complete in class.

Please read through our class terms and conditions prior to booking into our classes:
- We require full payment to be made at the time of booking to secure your place. Bookings can be online via our website or in store with cash or card. We do not hold or pencil in bookings.
- Class fee covers your tuition & refreshments only, all other related costs are in addition to this fee unless otherwise noted.
- Our classes are subject to numbers, if Cutting Cloth needs to cancel a class you will be provided a refund.
- Cutting Cloth cannot accept responsibility for changes to student’s personal circumstances that prevent attendance, no refunds will be provided.
- Classes can be transferred to an alternative date, if available, with at least 30 days notice of an inability to attend a class. Transfer of date may only be made on one occasion.
- In situations where less than 30 days is provided, you will not receive a refund, but can transfer your class to a friend.
- No refunds or transfers are given for classes with External Tutors.
