We are so excited to announce that Sarah Fielke will be teaching at Cutting Cloth in October 2026!
 
Sarah is an Australian author, quilt and fabric designer, quilt teacher, QuiltNSW Co-president and tutors classes all over the world. Sarah is particularly known for her gorgeous needle turned appliqué. 
 
We will holding a 2 day workshop where Sarah will be presenting her Growing Wild Quilt:
 
Saturday 31st October 10am-4pm and Sunday 1st November 10am-3pm
 
The Growing Wild Quilt comes together using a combination of needle turn appliqué and machine piecing. During the workshop, we will focus on needle turned appliqué. 
 
You have a few options in relation to how you wish to proceed with your project:
The original pattern has a machine pieced background. If you were wanting to maintain this look, the piecing will need to completed prior to the class. Instructions on how to put this together will be sent out well in advance of the workshop. 
Alternatively, you could choose to use a solid fabric for your background. 
Another option, is to purely use the class as a skill builder. Learn all the techniques from Sarah and work on a sampler piece, you could then go on to start your quilt afterwards once you have mastered the skills.

Trunk show on Saturday 31st October from 5pm 
 
Fabrics will need to be purchased separately.

We require full payment to be made at the time of booking to secure your place. Bookings can be online via our website or in store with cash or card. We do not hold or pencil in bookings.

Class fee covers your tuition & refreshments only, all other related costs are in addition to this fee unless otherwise noted.

Our classes are subject to numbers, if Cutting Cloth needs to cancel a class you will be provided a refund.

Cutting Cloth cannot accept responsibility for changes to student’s personal circumstances that prevent attendance, no refunds will be provided.

Classes can be transferred to an alternative date, if available, with at least 30 days notice of an inability to attend a class. Transfer of date may only be made on one occasion.

In situations where less than 30 days is provided, you will not receive a refund, but can transfer your class to a friend.

No refunds or transfers are given for classes with External Tutors.
